Season 4 • Episode 17
LatestWWE Metal (Originally WWF Metal) was a professional wrestling television program produced by World Wrestling Entertainment. The show aired syndicated weekly from 1999 until 2002 and replaced WWF Shotgun. WWF Metal showed the same matches as WWF Jakked with a different announce team. Originally produced under the World Wrestling Federation banner, the show was eventually replaced by WWE Afterburn in syndication.
Acting
The announce teams were unhinged—Kevin Kelly and co. deserved therapy.
Production
Same matches as Jakked, completely different vibes. Multiverse of madness.
Practical Effects
Pre-HD chaos where you could see the duct tape on the turnbuckle.
Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Metal and Jakked shared the exact same match pool but aired in different markets—Vince McMahon literally sold the same show twice.
This was the last era where ' syndicated wrestling' mattered—local stations at 2am, before streaming killed the Saturday morning ritual.
