Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
This aired on CBC in Canada and Lifetime in the U.S., existing in that strange Venn diagram of 'prestige TV movie' that satisfied nobody. Director Marc F. Voizard made roughly one feature per decade.
The 'writer rediscovers passion' trope peaked in 1988, when every female protagonist needed a man AND a cause to awaken her creativity. Tracy gets both in Jeff, because one miracle wasn't enough.
