Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Released at peak Tumblr 'thinspo' panic, the film inadvertently preserved a specific internet moment now lost to platform bans and algorithmic sanitization.
Izabella Miko based ButterflyAna's ethereal cruelty on actual pro-ana forum moderators she researched, making her less a villain than a disturbingly accurate archetype.
