Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
This is the third film featuring Vincke and Verstuyft, following The Memory of a Killer (2003) and Dossier K. (2009), making it one of Belgium's few true detective franchises.
The film adapts Jef Geeraerts' novel, part of a literary tradition of Flemish police procedurals that deliberately undercut the glamour of American noir with bureaucratic exhaustion and regional gloom.
