Jagger's Australian accent was so notoriously bad that locals reportedly laughed during screenings. He later admitted he couldn't understand his own dialogue in rushes.
The real Kelly Gang's armor weighed 97 pounds; Richardson's replica was lighter but Jagger still struggled. The film's commercial failure helped kill the 1970s Australian Western boom before it started.
