A couple of young, out-of-work archaeologists in Egypt discover evidence of the burial place of the ancient Egyptian princess Ananka. After receiving funding from an eccentric magician and his beautiful daughter, they set out into the desert only to be terrorized by a sinister high priest and the living mummy Kharis who are the guardians of Ananka’s tomb.

One of my favorite films in "The Mummy" franchise, even though it used flashback scenes from the 1932 film. Tom Tyler was scary as Kharis but nothing beats Boris Karloff's portrayal of the creature though.

I LOVE this film---with a bowl of popcorn and diet dr. pepper---universal at its most atmospheric and stylish.

Everything works in this very entertaining horror movie, and having horror icon George Zooco in top form makes the film a classic.
