Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
This was assembled from two abandoned films—one about a mad doctor, one about Dracula—with monsters shoehorned in later when producer Sam Sherman realized he needed a selling hook.
The 'Dracula' name couldn't be used in the title due to copyright, so prints were shipped as 'Blood of Frankenstein' until theaters complained audiences wanted both monsters.
