Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Director Greg Lamberson was 22 when he made this, funding it through credit cards and selling his car. The 'wine' was actually a mix of food coloring, oatmeal, and liquid latex.
Shot during NYC's peak 'urban hellscape' era, the film captures genuine pre-gentrification East Village decay that no production designer could replicate today. The building was scheduled for demolition during filming.
