Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Released during peak Punjab drug crisis discourse, the film sparked debates about cinema's role in documenting versus exploiting real tragedy. Director Mauhar insisted on casting actual students from conflict-ridden campuses.
Kartar Cheema reportedly lived in a Ludhiana student hostel for two months to absorb the specific cadence of campus-political speech. The film's zero TMDB rating reflects its obscurity, not quality—it's barely distributed outside Punjab.
