Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
This was originally pitched as a third Conan film with Arnold Schwarzenegger, but Sorbo refused to play another barbarian named Conan—hence the title swap to Howard's other pulp hero.
Released three months after Batman & Robin, this became collateral damage in Hollywood's 'fantasy is dead' panic—despite actually being fun.
