Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Georgie Henley hadn't seen a Narnia book illustration before filming, so her reactions to Mr. Tumnus were completely spontaneous.
C.S. Lewis hated the 1950 BBC adaptation so much he never sold film rights again in his lifetime; his estate waited until 2000 to greenlight this version.

Reactions from the web
December 7th, 2025, and it’s already been 20 years since this beautiful chronicle was released. Such a beautiful and lovely film! I was scared when I first watched it at age 10, and now at 29, I watch it with different eyes. It’s such a beautiful film, deserving of a magnificent award. Enjoy it while you still can, because tomorrow may be too late... ❤
