Diesel, the German Shepherd playing Rex, was actually born in the Czech Republic and trained in Germany before becoming Canada's most famous TV cop. He has stunt doubles. STUNT DOUBLES.
This is literally just the Austrian series 'Kommissar Rex' but Canadian, proving that 'cop dog' is somehow a universal human need. The original ran for 18 seasons. We're not worthy.
