LatestKartik is married to Anushri, who is a successful television journalist from Mumbai. After being married for more than 7 years, Anushri is excited to start a family of her own. But her husband is not quite ready for it. She, being a diligent and understanding wife, is conflicted whether she should go with her husband's wish or follow her own motherly instincts. Kartik's battle is more internal. His life's biggest conundrum is coming in terms with his own sexuality. His love for his boyfriend, Cris and his responsibilities towards Anushri has put him in a dilemma. Cris is tired of being kept a secret and wants his boyfriend to walk away from his marriage to be with him. He is brave and unapologetic about himself and his choices but Kartik and him clearly aren't on the same page. Set in Mumbai, 'Loose ends' is a messy tale on love, friendship, sexuality and the crossroads we often find ourselves at, between relationships and society.
'Kaali Peeli Tales' is an anthology of six bitter-sweet short stories that capture the essence of love, relationships and life in Mumbai. The six unique stories revolve around young and urban characters on the crossroads of change and acceptance. The films are centered around themes like infidelity, open marriage, homosexuality, divorce and love in the times of social media. Each film has a unique perspective on love, romance and modern day relationships and asks few relevant questions along side. The resolution of each story takes place in the iconic Kaali-Peeli taxi. A symbol of Mumbai, the cab works as a metaphor for the 'journey of life and relationships' and binds all six stories together.
