Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Director Ed Adlum never made another feature, possibly because he peaked here. The entire budget was reportedly under $24,000, most of which went to fake blood and one functioning boom mic.
This film captures the 1970s obsession with ancient druidic conspiracy theories, when every rural hill became potentially hiding occultists in public imagination. The 'farmers' costumes were apparently borrowed from a local Renaissance faire.
