This West German hit spawned two sequels and cemented Hallervorden as the king of 80s German slapstick. Think of it as their Mr. Bean, but with more property damage.
Hallervorden performed many of his own stunts, including a notorious staircase tumble that took twelve takes. The bruises were very real; the laughter was allegedly worth it.
