Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Bruce Dern supposedly hated the film so much he tried to buy and destroy the negative; it barely released theatrically and became a cult VHS curiosity.
Released the same year as 'The Entity' and 'Ms. 45,' part of a grim wave of female-body-horror that critics now re-examine as exploitation or feminist revenge depending on who you ask.
