Director
Kim Frank
Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Frank's debut emerged from Germany's 'Berlin School' adjacent scene, where malls and motorways become existential battlegrounds. The film premiered at Berlinale's Generation section, divisive even there.
The 75-minute runtime is deliberate — Frank wanted audiences to feel the compression of time that sleeplessness creates, that strange elasticity where hours collapse and stretch simultaneously.
