Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Released during France's 2016 labor law protests, the film's vision of mass unemployment and state violence hit uncomfortably close to real political tensions.
Director Jean-Patrick Benes cited 'Rollerball' and French riots as influences, deliberately keeping the budget low so the dystopia felt 'lived-in' rather than glossy.
