Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Shot in Montreal during Quebec's labor unrest, the film channels real NFB documentary traditions into fiction. Director Robin Spry was literally making socially conscious TV drama while the province burned.
Barry Morse (the corporate villain) was simultaneously starring in Space: 1999 — imagine going from moonbase commander to toxic sludge baron in the same year. Range!
