Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
This was Elizabeth Montgomery's second TV movie that year; she was actively rejecting Samantha Stephens typecasting.
The film quietly preceded the '80s boom of female midlife reinvention stories — think Shirley Valentine but with more elephants and less Greece.
