A 1944 propaganda film that depicts the fictionalised career of IJAAF pilot Tateo Kato, who led the 64th Sentai during the early months of the Pacific War. The film has scenes featuring Ki-43 fighters escorting Ki-21 bombers to attack Rangoon, where they are attacked by P-40 Warhawk and Brewster Buffalo fighters.

It's available on DVD. A movie made during the war, although Kato flew the earlier version of Oscar (Hayabusa), the movie was made using of the later Hayabusa. Still my favorite..

Hayabusa replaced Nate (Type 97 fighter), both were terribly underarmed with 2 machine guns only.. They were light fighters with no armour protections whatsoever for its pilots. Great experienced pilots were lost due to this. SAD!!! Same thing with the Zeros of the navy. We Japanese lost the war not treasuring the human lives like the Americans.
