Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Buck Jones was one of the 'Three Mesquiteers' and broke his neck in a 1942 fire that killed him — this film captures his peak stunt work.
Pre-Code Hollywood let women like Joan Randall lead armies and almost hang before romance saved them — the Hays Code would soon crush this energy.
