Standout Aspects

Practical Effects

Gritty mountain locations that outclass everything else.

Acting

Troy Donahue's unhinged descent — camp or genius? You decide.

Best for:Solo: Late night when you want to feel worse about humanity.·Rewatch: Spotting which scenes are stolen from better movies.·Friends: With someone who loves terrible dubbing and worse decisions.
Heads up:Violence: Prolonged sexual assault scene, extreme domestic brutality.·Emotional: Child death by drowning — deeply disturbing, not exploitative-fun.

Deep Dive

Trivia, insights & behind the scenes

Cultural

Part of Spain's 1970s exploitation boom, cashing in on Straw Dogs and Deliverance's rural-terror formula with significantly less craft.

Trivia

Director Raúl Fernández cast himself as 'Badboy' — possibly the most on-the-nose director cameo in exploitation history.
