Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Aislinn Derbez was already a rising star in Mexican cinema; this oddball western role showed her range before her US crossover.
The film plays with the 'bandido romántico' archetype from Golden Age Mexican cinema, but strips away the heroism—Jesús is genuinely terrible at both crime and love.
