Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Wardat was part of Mithun's 'Gunmaster G-9' franchise, India's answer to Bond that somehow spawned multiple films despite each being stranger than the last.
Director Ravikant Nagaich pioneered Bollywood sci-fi with Surakksha (1979) first; Wardat's locusts were allegedly inspired by real 1970s African desert locust plagues but rendered with budget that couldn't afford convincing rubber.
