Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Director Adam Rifkin later wrote MouseHunt and Small Soldiers, proving Hollywood has no memory. He made this under a pseudonym, 'Rif Coogan,' which he also used for Psycho Cop 2.
This arrived at the tail end of the 1980s sex-comedy boom, when direct-to-video horror could still get theatrical releases by promising nudity every 12 minutes. It's essentially The Invisible Man reframed through the lens of Revenge of the Nerds' most problematic elements.
