Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
This was George Waggner's second feature that year—Universal was cranking out programmers like sausage, and this one's a prime example of the 'B-unit' efficiency that kept theaters full during WWII.
The title 'Sealed Lips' refers to both the gangster nickname AND the secret Fred Morton keeps—screenwriters loved their double meanings back then.
