Trini avenges the torture of his uncle by a landowner’s son. Trini and his fellow peons destroy the landowner’s home and overpower his guards with the help of Emiliano Zapata. Zapata is killed in a conspiracy before Trini can warn him.

DEFA Studios made this as a response to Hollywood Westerns, part of East Germany's odd subgenre of 'Indianerfilme' and revolutionary Westerns.
The film was shot in Bulgaria with local actors because East Germany had no deserts and even fewer Mexicans.
