Part of the 12-film Bomba series, this was poverty row's answer to Tarzan—shot in six days for $85,000. Johnny Sheffield had just been fired from the Tarzan franchise for growing too tall.
The 'African' tribe was mostly LA-based actors, and the jungle was the San Bernardino mountains. The crocodile fight uses a clearly mechanical beast that terrified exactly no one.
