The iconic toilet poster was created before filming and forced reshoots to include any bathroom scene at all. The director originally wanted serious horror.
Tamara De Treaux, who played Greedigut, was E.T.'s stunt performer and one of Hollywood's first little people in prominent roles. She died tragically young in 1990.
