You don't even want to know what one 22 min episode of the Clerks cartoon cost.

We supported Steve Stark, a fan, because we think he's funny. I would like to quote Mr. Smith "Remember: It costs nothing to support an artist, and the potential benefits are staggering. A pat on the back now to an artist now could one day result in your favorite film, or the cartoon you love to get stoned watching, or the song that saves your life. Discourage an artist, and you get absolutely nothing in return, ever."
