The ultimate underdog story: one dirty coward, three chaotic friends, and a whole lot of oil money.
Cinderelo is a quiet young man from a small town, looked down upon by his peers for being dirty and cowardly. In truth, he is very brave and shows his strength when a family of devout people asks the group for help against a powerful landowner, Colonel Dourado. The colonel covets the family’s land, which is located in an oil-rich area. Dona Ivete, the landowner’s niece, assists the Trapalhões in fighting against the henchmen led by Souza.

Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
The Trapalhões were Brazil's most beloved comedy troupe; this film captures their peak dominance before television fully consumed them. The oil-land conflict mirrors real 1970s Amazonian land grabs.
Mussum's character was originally written smaller—his improvised reactions during the henchman fight scene were so funny they expanded his role in reshoots.
