Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds perform live in a pivotal scene because Wenders simply called in favors from his musician friends. The '90s were different.
This is the only sequel Wenders ever made, and he basically disowned it after the studio recut it against his wishes. The 'director's cut' runs 20 minutes longer and is even MORE unhinged.
