In this gritty and sometimes bloody tale, sixteen year-old Wayne sets out on a dirt bike with his new crush Del to take back the 1978 Pontiac Trans Am that was stolen from his father before he died. It is Wayne and Del against the world.

Wayne is essentially a working-class response to rich-kid teen dramas; Shawn Simmons grew up in Brockton and based Del's family on people he knew. The cancellation sparked a #SaveWayne campaign that got Seth MacFarlane's attention but still died.
