Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
The show was abruptly cancelled after two seasons, leaving Daniel's ultimate fate literally unresolved. The writers had planned a third season where his lies would collapse completely.
This was Rupert Grint's first major post-Potter TV lead, and he specifically sought dark comedy to distance himself from Ron Weasley. The casting of Nick Frost as his equally terrible doctor created an unlikely British comedy pairing.
