LatestAs Illya's attack fails to stop the regenerating army, Tanaka throws a mysterious sword into the middle of the fray, allowing Illya to damage the black cube and dispel the muck causing the army to grow. As Julian escapes with Erica and Beatrice, Bazett manages to retrieve a gem allowing Rin to properly heal Miyu's brother. After everyone, including Angelica, returns to Miyu's home, Illya and Kuro discover the sword she used was actually Tanaka's arm. While Julian prepares his vengeance, Miyu and her brother tell the others about what happened to them.
Illyasviel von Einzbern is an ordinary elementary school student who becomes a magical girl when the magical Kaleidostick Ruby deems her a more suitable master than the sorceress, Rin Tohsaka. Rin, who had been tasked by the wizard Zelretch to collect the seven Class Cards containing the spirits of Heroic Spirits from legend, finds that she is unable to change Ruby's mind and must supervise Illya in completing the task of collecting the Class Cards. During Illya's adventures, she receives a friend and rival in a girl named Miyu, the contracted master of the Kaleidostick Sapphire, which similarly abandoned its original master and Rin's rival, Luvia Edelfelt.

Prisma Illya is the only Fate spin-off where Nasu himself wrote key episodes, specifically the darker 3rei material — he reportedly wanted to explore Illya's 'what if' happiness before crushing it.
The Kaleidosticks are voiced by the same seiyuu as their original masters' weapons in Fate/stay night — Ruby shares VA with Excalibur's sheath, a deliberate parallel to Illya's connection to Artoria's legacy.

Despite it's outward look, this show turned out to be a ton better than I expected. Really like this shows OP's too.

Weird to drop a trailer for this series when most of the physical releases are out of print and no longer available to purchase (you can't even buy this first season on Blu-ray anymore; all that's left is the DVD). Is a complete collection re-release on the horizon?
