The team built their own 'ghost containment device' called the Wraith Chaser — it was essentially a modified animal trap with EMF sensors. It never caught anything but got three episodes of build-up.
Ghost Asylum premiered during the peak 'ghost hunting reality' boom (2013-2015), when networks greenlit anything with night vision cameras and screaming. It got lost between Ghost Adventures and Ghost Hunters but developed a cult following for its more theatrical, less serious approach.
