Deep Dive

Trivia, insights & behind the scenes

Cultural

Guilty Crown was famously divisive—critics called it 'Code Geass with worse writing' while fans defended its emotional sincerity. It became a litmus test for whether you watch anime for plot coherence or vibes.

Trivia

The 'Power of Kings' concept and apocalyptic Tokyo setting were developed by writers from Nitroplus, known for dark visual novels—explaining the tonal whiplash between high school drama and genocide.
