Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
This was DC's first fully-CG Batman series, and they specifically banned the Joker, Riddler, and Penguin to force fresh rogues. It got cancelled after one season because toy sales bombed—adults loved it, kids didn't buy the figures.
Katana's prominence here predated her Suicide Squad movie push by three years; this was quietly the most high-profile Tatsu Yamashiro media until then. The show's 'no sidekick' marketing aged hilariously.
