Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
This aired during KBS's 'trendy drama' era, when chaebol romances dominated — but the working-class heroine infiltrating the family was relatively fresh. Lee Da-hae became known for this 'plucky poor girl' archetype.
The novel source 'Five Kimchi Mandu' refers to Su-ha's family recipe — the mandu scenes were genuine cooking, and Lee Da-hae reportedly ate dozens per take. The title change to 'Hello! Miss' was purely for marketing czarina appeal.
