Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
This marks Bernal and Luna's first major collaboration since 'Y Tu Mamá También' 23 years ago—Hulu basically paid for a reunion we didn't deserve.
The show explicitly critiques Mexico's boxing promotion machine, where young fighters from working-class barrios are commodified and discarded—Ramirez based Sixto's character on real promoters who've faced corruption charges.

Reactions from the web
Y Tu Mama Tambien & Amores Perros opened my eyes to a world of foreign film and introduced me to some of my favorite filmmakers and actors to this day. I’m a guy from the American Deep South that understands about 15 Spanish words. Bernal and Luna are 2 of the greatest talents in the history of cinema.
