Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Sortilegio was William Levy's breakout role before he became a Dancing with the Stars heartthrob in the US. This telenovela literally launched him into American living rooms.
The original 1985 version 'Tú o nadie' starred Lucía Méndez at the peak of telenovela's 'golden age' — this remake arrived as the genre was pivoting toward narconovelas, making its old-school melodrama almost nostalgic.
