Direction

Acting
Boynton and Poulter's banter carries centuries of English awkwardness.
Production
Glorious 1930s Wales: all cliffs, tweed, and murderous manor houses.
Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Laurie optioned this Christie novel himself in 2020, calling it 'the one nobody remembers but everybody should.'
The title's linguistic trap—Evans being a man, not a woman—was considered unadaptable until Laurie leaned into the gender confusion as a running gag.

Seriously loved this so much, and I demand the two leads play Tommy and Tuppence and that Hugh writes and directs those productions from this point forward! Will was SO GOOD in this, and I’m shocked because I never thought I’d fangirl over the kid who played Eustace in Narnia: TVOTDT, but oh my word, has he leveled up! Please let there be more Agatha Christie just like this!
