Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Set during King Chulalongkorn's 1905 abolition of slavery, the series dramatizes how legal freedom and actual power remained worlds apart for the former bondservant class.
The title 'Chaat Payak' roughly translates to 'beast lineage' or 'born of beasts'—the insult Glaa internalizes and weaponizes, transforming class slur into feared reputation.
