Deep Dive

Trivia, insights & behind the scenes

Trivia

Fox literally stripped feature film budgets down to TV scale—some episodes used standing sets from CinemaScope productions that cost 100x more to build.

Cultural

This series marks the exact moment when movie stars realized television wasn't 'beneath them'—it was unemployment insurance. The embarrassment is palpable and fascinating.
