Henok started acting while he was a high school student at Emperor Minelik II Secondary School as a member of the school's Drama and Literature Club. After completing his secondary education, Henok attended different training programs. He also studied acting at Holy Land Arts Academy for one year. Later, Henok joined Addis Ababa University and studied Theatrical Arts, and graduated with a BA degree. Henok further pursued his higher education and studied Film Production for his Master of Arts.
