Russian tenor Arseny Yakovlev was born in Moscow to a family of musicians. He first enrolled at the Tchaikovsky Moscow Conservatory and then continued his vocal studies at the Academy of Choral Arts under Professor Dmitry Vdovin. Yakovlev is currently studying with Vdovin at the Russian University of Theatrical Arts (GITIS). In 2012, at the age of 19, Yakovlev made his debut at the Bolshoi as a Vendor of Pets in Richard Strauss’ Der Rosenkavalier.
