The cinematic work of Christel Buschmann, born in 1942, raised in Bremen and Hamburg, and educated in German, Romance languages, and philosophy, is modest in scope but no less noteworthy for that. Between 1980 and 1988, she made four feature films, which were shown at festivals around the world, as well as an episodic film and, in the 1990s, a dozen television documentaries.
