Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
This was one of three Black Jack TV movies Tsutsumi directed in 2000, adapting Osamu Tezuka's iconic manga character who never got official medical licensing.
The twin casting of Saori and Shiori Nakayama as Pinoko mirrors Tezuka's own visual doubling motif—innocence and corruption as inseparable siblings.
