Trivia

Most of this film is lost; surviving fragments run roughly 26 minutes. What exists feels like a fever dream of intertitles.

Cultural

Arsène Lupin predates Sherlock Holmes in French popular culture—this was Hollywood's first attempt to import that swagger.
